Kaye Osborne
January 12, 1944 ~ August 18, 2017 (age 73) 73 Years Old
Kaye Osborne, 73, of Cazenovia passed away August 18, 2017. After graduating from Chittenango Central School and Ithaca College, Kaye taught science in the Williamson school district. She later went on to take over the family farm. Kaye owned and operated Greyrock Farm until her death. Kaye was very passionate about environmental conservation and land preservation and procured a grant to require the farm remain agricultural indefinitely. To add to Kaye’s many accolades, she was a 4-H leader, Dairy farmer, Horse Trainer, and taught many, many children to ride. Many of her students have returned over the years to say what a positive effect Kaye had on their lives. Kaye is predeceased by her husband Donald Osborne.
Survived by her sisters Diana Wurm of Glens Falls, NY, Mary Chandler of Cazenovia, NY, and brother Nicholas Fisher of South Glens Falls, NY, and her aunt Rosemond Cassell of Chittenango. Also surviving are 5 cousins and serval nieces and nephews.
Kaye’s life will be celebrated on Friday September 1, 2017 at the Chittenago United Methodist Church, 205 Falls BLVD. Chittenago, at 1pm. Friends can meet the family at the farm store at Greyrock Farm Store immediately following.
