May God Bless your family at this time of Doug's passing. We at Troop 709 want to convey that Doug was always supportive to our camping activities. It is said that it takes a community to raise an Eagle Scout! and for the last 45 years this scouting community with all its support have sent boys all over this country, and that was with the blessings from the Fuegel family. So God speed to Doug, and your family will be in our prayers. Troop 709 family and friends

To all the Fuegel Family, Please allow us to express our sympathy with the passing of your husband and father. Doug was always supportive to our Boy Scout troop with our activities near your home. It is said that it takes a whole community to raise an Eagle Scout... Please take pride that your family has helped the leadership of Troop 709 send many boys to that level. God bless

We are so saddened by the passing of such a sweet and kind Uncle. I always remember the visits to Sandy Pond and the boat rides and when we first moved back to Cicero our family got a wonderful real Xmas tree from their tree farm. May you rest in peace and say hi to my Mom & Dad who can show you around. Love always Glenn and Jean

So sorry to hear about the passing of Doug. Had many fond memories through the years. One of my favorite was a trip up to Quebec with a group of writers. He had a good life and we are blessed to be a part of it. Prayers to Shirley, Jeff and the rest of the family. He will be missed!

Rest in peace,, my friend. I will always cherish the memories of your active involvement on behalf of sportsmen and our continuing exchange of views (almost always in agreement) for over 35 years . I will miss your involvement via email even to the end.
My heart goes out to Shirley and Jeff.
May God receive you with open arms.
