Tyla Yates Obituary
On Monday May 25th Tyla Denise Yates passed away unexpectedly at the age of 46. She was loved by all who knew her, especially her family, including family she chose for herself.
She is survived by her children, Breanna (Alex) Jarvis, and Michael Yates; her grandson Jameson Jarvis, who was the light of her life; her husband Scott Yates, from whom she had separated in recent years but still counted as family; George Zehr, with whom she had found new love in recent years, and his sons Caylon and Cole, who she loved as her own children; her mother Freda LaPlante (Joe Crawford); sisters Beverly Andrews, Kim Walker, and Tonia Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Tyla was predeceased by several beloved family members including her father Frank LaPlante, with whom she was very close.
Services will be held at Traub Funeral Home in Bridgeport, but in person attendance is unfortunately limited due to COVID-19; services will also be live-streamed for all who loved her to view.
