Ruth A. (Hopper) Lauber

Ruth A. Lauber, 84, of Central Square died Friday, September 15, 2023 at Van Duyn Home and Hospital in Syracuse, New York following a long illness. Born November 25, 1938 in 

Watertown, New York to the late Earl and Dorothy Kiah Hopper. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, James Lauber; infant grandson, Christopher Lauber and a brother, Robert Hopper.

Mrs. Lauber retired from the P&C Corporate Offices in Lakeland, New York following many years of service as an Accountant. A woman of many interest she enjoyed travelling, especially to New York City where she loved all it had to offer and wintering in Melbourne, Florida. Most of all time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. 

She is survived by sons, Michael (Beth), Mark (Alice) and Matt (Jackie) Lauber; sister, Rita Edwards; grandchildren, Joseph, David (Vicky), Alicia (Brandon Ashley), Ryan (Kelly) and Sarah Lauber, Kelly (Joe) Giamartino, Natalie (Geoff) Maxam; great-grandchildren, Emma, Colton, Hailey and Lily; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be 4:00 - 7:00pm on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 684 North Main Street, Central Square, New York. Burial will be in West Monroe Cemetery. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 9:00am on Friday, September 22, 2023 in Divine Mercy Parish and The Mission of St. Bernadette. 592 South Main Street, Central Square, New York.
