Richard “Dick” D. Lokay, 81, of Central Square, passed away on April 30, 2022 at University Hospital. He was born on May 3, 1940 in Oneida, NY to the late William and the late Leona (Bonneau) Lokay. Dick was preceded in death by his son, Douglas William Lokay.
Dick worked for the IBEW Local 43 where he retired from in 1999. He was a member of the American Legion Post 915 Sons of the American Legion, Blockbusters, which is the oldest car club in the nation, and the Toad Harbor Sportsmen’s Club. Dick was an avid hunter, loved the sport of Golf, and enjoyed riding motorcycle. Dick was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His time with his family was where he was happiest.
Dick is survived by his wife of 36 years, Margaret (Munger); children, William (Lynn Grevelding) Lokay, Jeffrey (Dawn) Lokay, Tammy (Michael) Fleming, Michele (Tom) Kires, Babette (William) Whitford, and Laurie Ucher; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 11- 1 PM at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square.. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 1 PM
