Rhonda Lee Rhoades, 64, of Central Square, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 18, 2022. She was born on October 16, 1957 in Oswego, NY to the late Rodney L. and the late Martha L. (Mangrum) Hall. Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1993. Rhonda graduated from Central Square School District. She was a Teaching Assistant for the Central Square Middle School. She went to school to obtain her Associates degree and had a successful and long career with the Central Square School District lasting 26 years. Rhonda’s favorite moments were spent with her 6 grandchildren. She loved laying by the pool, gardening, pampering herself and taking road trips with her sister, Sandra. After becoming a widow at a young age, Rhonda proudly raised her three children to be strong, caring and independent individuals. Rhonda was a force to be reckoned with. She fiercely fought through a battle of breast cancer that allowed us all to have more time with her. She adored her grandchildren and was the best Gigi. We will miss her infectious smile and her laugh most of all. Rhonda is survived by her children, Erik (Kirsten) Rhoades, Ryan (Vanessa) Rhoades, and Jamie (Ben) Brockway; grandchildren, Connor, Zoe, Josie, Maggie, Livi, and Drew; siblings, Sumner (Donna) Hall, Sandra (Jerry) McCarthy, and Woody (Kelly) Hall; nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Andy) McCarthy, Jared (Emily) McCarthy, Joe (Tiffany) Hall, Todd (Karen) Hall, Heather Hall, Donnie Aris , Roy ( Cindy) Sabo and countless great nieces, nephews, and cousins A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 4- 7 PM at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery. A Celebration of Life with be held immediately following services at The American Legion in Central Square. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Susan G. Komen Foundation, in Rhonda’s honor.
