Mark Alan Pooley, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mark was born on May 17, 1953 to the late Lewis and Shirley (Bitz) Pooley and attended Chittenango Schools. He went on to own Mark A. Pooley Drywall and Insulation, Inc., where he worked with The Oot Brothers, Inc. and other local builders. He was very well liked and respected in the industry
Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, especially snowmobiling throughout the Adirondacks and visiting Alexandria Bay every 4th of July with them. He loved going to any of the games and concerts that the grandkids were in. Mark was an avid SU fan, watching NASCAR, NFL Football, especially The Dallas Cowboys, and snowmobiling shows.
Mark is survived by his wife Leigh Ann (Grier) Pooley; daughter Michelle (Tony) DiCesare; two beautiful grandchildren Hannah Marie and Anthony Alan DiCesare; sister Noni Burgen (Judy Bell); brothers and sister-in-laws; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many dear friends.
There will be a private graveside service and a celebration of his life at a later date.
The family wishes to thank the Lakeport Ambulance personnel and the Bridgeport Fire Dept. that assisted in the time of crisis, the doctor's, PA's, and nurses who took such great care of Mark at St. Joseph's Hospital.
