Marion M. (Margetin) Burke, 75, lifelong resident of Syracuse died on June 21, 2020.
Marion married James Burke and the couple would have celebrated 52 years of wedded bliss on June 29th, 2020. Mr. Burke passed just days after his bride on June 25, 2020. They were lifelong members of Wetzel Road Church of Christ in Liverpool. Both were active members of the church attending services faithfully and volunteering at Camp Hunt. They found joy in helping and serving others in the church and community. Marion was a bookkeeper at Cole Typewriter until she retired to become a homemaker, which also brought her joy. Marion was preceded in death by her two brothers.
They are survived by daughter, Karen Baker; son, Jerry Burke and his wife, Leigh Ann. Three granddaughters, Ashley Levering and her husband, Ben Levering, Alexis Diaz, and Mary White. One great-grandson, Luke Levering. James is also survived by his brother, Mike Burke; and sister, Ginny Burke. Marion is also survived by one brother, Jack Margetin.
As my dad would say, “At least we didn’t get the Corona.” As mom would say, “Jim stop that. God bless.”
The couple will be interred together at White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. Services are private.
Together in Life, Forever in Eternity.
