Margaret Milone, 87, formerly of Phoenix and Fulton, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021.
Margaret was born February 26, 1934 to Dorothy and Clifford Priest and raised on the family farm in Rodman, NY. She graduated from Adams High School and the House of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing. For over 40 years she provided compassionate nursing care in hospitals, nursing homes and in patients’ homes as a private duty nurse. In 1957 she married Vincent Milone and relocated for five years to Brooklyn before settling in Phoenix, NY where they raised their three children. She later moved to Volney. Margaret was an active member of the Phoenix United Methodist Church and Redeemer Covenant Church in Liverpool, where she volunteered in many capacities. Margaret enjoyed sewing, reading, listening to music, attending concerts and studying the Bible. She loved animals and was seldom without a dog or cat to care for.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents; husband Vince; sister Anne Trowbridge Palmer; brother Clayton Priest; and good friend Burton Colling. She is survived by children Julie Egleston, Joanne Teska, Andrew Milone and their spouses; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister Fern Trowbridge; and many nieces and nephews.
A Calling Hour will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10 am, at Redeemer Covenant Church, 7565 Morgan Rd., Liverpool, NY, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 am.
