Obituary
Lester Milo Root, 76 of Mallory died unexpectedly June 11, 2022.
Lester was born September 8, 1945 in West Monroe, to Stanley Emmons Root and Genevieve Hazel (Boughton) Root.
He graduated from Paul V Moore and married his high school sweetheart, Addelin.
Lester was a devoted husband and blessed with four children. He was a heavy equipment operator for JJ lane for 40 years until he retired. He enjoyed working outdoors and in his workshop.
In Lester's earlier years he enjoyed umping and coaching for his children. He loved to ride motorcycles with his wife. Lester was well known for lending a hand to anyone. He was a great story teller and always had one liners.
Lester was predeceased by his parents; brother Lynn Root; and brother in law Nelson Rayder. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Addelin; his daughters Christine Root; Trisha (Edward) Bartlett; Sonia (James) Rainie and son Lester S. (Kathy) Root; sisters Sandra Rayder; Sharon (Art) Gearsbeck; brother Dwayne (Doris) Root; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
