Leonora R. Ledger, 84, of Constantia, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2026, following a brief illness.
Born in the Philippines, Leonora met the love of her life, Leland Ledger, while he was proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. Together they shared 52 years of marriage, building a life centered on love, hard work, family, and devotion.
Leonora retired from Crouse-Hinds after 42 years of dedicated service. She was known for her incredible work ethic and her determination to tackle any task that came her way. Despite having limited formal education, there was seemingly nothing she could not do. Whether working outdoors in the yard, fixing things around the house, cooking a meal, cleaning, or caring for those she loved, Leonora approached everything with pride and purpose. She found great joy in cooking, keeping a beautiful home, and caring for her beloved dogs. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she transformed her home and yard into a festive display that brought joy to family, friends, and neighbors alike. She especially loved fishing for bullhead, a pastime that brought her peace and happiness. Above all else, Leonora was devoted to her husband and family. She spent much of her life caring for others, always putting their needs before her own. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Raymond (Theresa) Ledger; nephew. James (Tracey) Boland; nieces, Carol (Chuck) Harington, Jessica (Richard Canfield) Harrington, Suzanna (Cody) Yandell, Luke, Moriah and many additional nieces, nephews and her "three babies" Chloe, Kyra and Teegan. Leonora was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she leaves behind.
In accordance with Leonora's wishes, there will be no calling hours or formal services.
