Jewell Ann Gilbert

Jewell Ann Gilbert, 53, of Mannsville NY, passed away shortly after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage on Saturday, January 1st, 2022 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Born in Syracuse, NY, Mrs. Gilbert graduated from Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square, NY in 1986. She lived in the central Square area before coming to Mannsville and making that her permanent home for the past 25 years. She was a business owner of a family owned recycling company for the past 25 years until her passing.

Surviving family members include her husband, Adrian Gilbert; her daughter, Amber Tamblin of Mexico, NY with her husband Taylor Tamblin and their 3 sons; her daughter Sammy Joe McMurray of Dexter, NY with her spouse, Calvin Jones and their 2 daughters; her daughter Alyvia Rose Gilbert, of Mannsville, NY; her parents, Richard and Gail Murtaugh, of Naples, FL; her brother, Richard Murtaugh Jr. and his wife Dawn of Fulton, NY; and her sister, Elizabeth Grosso and husband Jon, of Mannsville, NY.

Jewell was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed taking her family on vacations and spoiling them on the holidays. She enjoyed riding ATVs, snowmobiling and spending summers poolside with her family. She knew how to throw a party and was also the life of it. She was always an expert in cosmetics and the last seven years ran a successful small online boutique.
