Jane M. Gates

Jane Marie Gates passed away due to the advanced stages of dementia on September 7, 2021. She was 85 years old. She was predeceased by her parents Nettie (Guile) Gates and George W. Gates, many brothers and sisters and her beloved dog, Sarge. She is survived by her son George H. Gates (Sheena), her step-grandsons Geoffrey Loughrey (Casey) and Justin Loughrey (McKayla), her sister-in-law Shirley (Hughes) Gates, and lots of nieces and nephews.

She loved to talk, joke around and dance to rock-n-roll music. Elvis being her favorite. She lived most of her life in the Fulton area. She told anyone she met to call her “Shorty”. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021  from 4-6 PM at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square. A Graveside Service will take place on Friday at 10 AM in the Pennellville Cemetery, Pennellville, NY
