George Mantell Jr, 65 of Brewerton NY passed away on July 15th after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer. Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Belinda (Garlic) who he lovingly called Bo; his stepchildren, Arian and Hannah Mantor; brothers, Robert (Cindy) of Florida and David (Anna) of Chittenango; sister, Mary Charette of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, George Sr. (Peewee), Margaret (Walker), and his brother, Scott.
George was born in Constantia, NY, relocating to Florida where he lived for many years working for the City of Boynton Beach before retiring. George loved his music and played in several bands throughout his life. He returned to New York to be with the love of his life and spent his remaining time adoring her and his beloved stepchildren. George loved the beach, cruising in his corvette with the wind blowing in his unforgettable rock star hair, watching his Pittsburgh Steelers, playing and listening to music and watching the snow from his favorite chair. He will be remembered for his larger than life sense of humor and his laugh will resonate with those that knew and loved him. He laughed and loved the simple things in life.
In addition to his wife, he was lovingly cared for by Laney Dulan, Mark Cole, and his favorite Hospice friend, his wife will be eternally grateful.
Private services will be held on July 25th.
