David Anthony Merrow

David Anthony Merrow, 27, formerly of Central Square, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2020 in Syracuse. He was born on August 25, 1992 in Syracuse, NY to  Anthony Merrow and Susan (Hallows) Welke. David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Peter Hallows and Joanne Huey, his paternal grandmother, Patricia Merrow.

David graduated from Paul V. Moore High School in 2010. He then attended Cayuga Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in 2013 and a Bachelors degree from SUNY Oswego in 2016. David enjoyed LARPing, reading, writing, video games, movies, drawing, and Karaoke with his friends. David enjoyed spending time with family and his people.

David is survived by his parents, Anthony Merrow and Susan (Drew) Welke; sisters, Alyssa Merrow and Christina Merrow; nephew, Brycen Cuny;  step-sister, Pam Heath; step-brother, Anthony McGillicuddy; paternal grandfather, William Merrow; maternal grandmother, Rose Hallows; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on August 5, 2020 at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main St., Central Square, NY. Due to Covid-19, Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in David’s honor.
