William "Bill" Carista

William " Bill" Carista, 63, of Central Square, passed away peacefully at home with family, after a long battle with cancer.

Bill worked on the muck farms growing up and worked as a Mechanic at Port City Ford. He enjoyed racing, hunting and fishing.

Bill is predeceased by his wife Mariea L. Carista and his mother Doris Carista. He is survived by his father Samuel Carista; children Maria (Tom) Kurtz, Billy Joe (Kate) Carista and Alecia (Jason) Hendrickson; six grandchildren; siblings Glen (Mary) Carista, Wendy (Earl) Becker, Diane Curcie, Sharon (Chuck) Morey, Dorie Halsey, Mike (Kye) Carista, Ed (Lynn) Carista and Cindy Carista; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, 3 to 5 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square, with a Memorial Service to follow at 5 pm.
