Minnie Arleen Lang

Minnie “Arleen” Lang, 91, of Canastota, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 surrounded by her family. Arleen was born in Sherburne, NY, the youngest of nine children. Arleen graduated from nursing school in 1949 and worked at Crouse-Irving Memorial and was a member of the Eastern Stars. Arleen was a caring, determined, and compassionate woman who loved spending time with her family, especially the little ones. Arleen is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Catherine (Mettler) Stewart; six brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Howard E. Lang; sister, Gladys Musser of Chittenango; children, Michael (Alice), Bill (Joanne), James, and Nicholas Lang, all of Canastota, Carole of Syracuse, and Linda (Dan) Emmons of Oneida; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Saturday July 21 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a funeral service immediately following at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 NY-31, Bridgeport. Burial will be in the White Chapel Memory Gardens.
