Jerry A. Wright, 73, of Williamstown, passed away on November 1, 2019, surrounded by family and friends.
Jerry was a well respected beloved resident of Parish, NY. He attended Morrisville College and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Jerry committed his life as a mechanic, working many hours, which earned him the trust and appreciation of many people. The garage was a special place. It's where he shared his stories, his knowledge, and laughs. Memories were made there. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who lived life with honesty, generosity, and a crazy amount of fun. He once said "I had a lot of great friends, great memories, and did things I never thought I could...I had a great life."
Jerry is survived by his loving wife Wilma Hand; sister Evelyn DeGraw; daughters Cindy Barber and Amy DuVa; son Tracy Baird; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and Spencer Dagget, who he shared a special bond with.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16th, from 3 to 7 pm, at the Parish American Legion, 208 NY-69A, Parish, NY 13131.
