James E. Faivre

James E. Faivre, 65, passed away on Monday at his home with family by his side. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time at his camp in Elgin, Ontario, Canada. Jim could often be found out on his boat with his dogs, or sharing food and good conversation with friends and family. He worked for many years at Giovanni Foods, formerly Ventre Packing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Ruth; son, Jason; siblings, Eugene (Phyllis) Faivre, Geraldine Tucker, and Beverly Welch; several nieces and nephews; and his four dogs, Gulliver, Maggie, Mickey, and Gaby.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 5, from 2 – 4 PM, at the Traub Funeral Home in Central Square. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the ASPCA.
