James Currier Obituary

James W. Currier, 72, of Phoenix NY passed away 6/8/2018 at home with his wife by his side. He was born to John and the late Josephine (Doty) Currier in Auburn, Ny. 
Jim was predeceased by his mother and his brother, Ronald. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, his father John Currier; his brother John Currier Jr.; his sons, James and Gary; his daughters Laurie, Melinda Allen and Melissa Wojtak. His grandchildren, Sebastian, Nichole, Alex, Levi and Sophie. And 6 great grand children. Also, many cousins and nieces and nephews. And his loving dog, Lucy!

Jim lived in Brasher and graduated High School there. He had a year of electronics at Syracuse University. Jim worked at Carrier for 37 years. 

Jim was shoot director of NYS Muzzle loader Association. He was Vice President of  Lock Stock and Barrel  Club. He was affiliated with Elbridge rod and gun club, St. Lawrence long guns, Leather stocking club. Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman and he loved the outdoors. 

Jim was a master carpenter and made beautiful homes and treasures for his family and friends. He was a family man  who will be missed dearly.

A memorial service will held on June 16th  at 1 pm at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main Street, Central Square NY. Calling hours to follow until 3 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made to a charity of your choice in Jim’s name.
