Genevieve R. "Ginny" (Gordon) (Leo) Timmons

Genevieve R. "Ginny" (Gordon) (Leo) Timmons, 72, of Cicero, died on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Crouse Hospital, in Syracuse, NY.

Ginny was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Amy Inez (Vickery) and Alfred Joseph Gordon on August 26, 1946. She lived in Bridgeport for most of her adult life, moving to Clay in 1986 and finally to Cicero in 2011. Her life revolved around her family.

Ginny is predeceased by her parents Alfred and Amy Gordon; beloved son Billy, who passed away at six months in 1973; and siblings Gail Kelly, Joan Kolseth, and John French. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, William "Bill" Timmons; son Thomas Leo of Kirkville; daughter Kimberly (Kenneth) Lamb of Denver, IA; granddaughters Hailey Leo and Amanda Neff; grandson Kenneth Lamb; sisters Sandra Post of CT and Terri Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to give special thanks for the love and care shown by the nurses and doctors at Crouse Hospital.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport, with a Memorial Service to follow at 7 pm. Burial will take place on Saturday, 10 am, at Bridgeport Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America.
