Daniel M. Valerino, 57, of Canastota, passed away suddenly on Sunday. He was dedicated to his work as a Pattern Maker for Armstrong Mold Corporation for over 30 years. Dan loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and hunting with his father. He was a compassionate and loving man who adored his family and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. Dan was especially fond of his nephews, Luigi and Michael, and was always available when they needed anything. He was a fantastic cook and loved to hold barbeques or host Thanksgiving dinner. Dan would always find a way to have fun, even in unexpected disappointments or rainy days. He loved coming home to his dog, Rudy. Dan was predeceased by his father, Ronald Scott, in 2010.
He is survived by his loving fiancée, Barbara Sieradzke; mother, Mary Lou Scott; sisters, Mary Lou (Frank) Murphy, Debbie Colunio, Lisa (Mike) Perez, and Brenda Valerino; nephews, Luigi (Melissa) and Michael Colunio; Daniel Valerino; and many other extended family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018, 4 – 7 PM, with a service to follow, at Traub Funeral Home, 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport, NY 13030.
