Carolyn (DuBose) Casciere

Carolyn Casciere, 80, of Bridgeport passed away on Saturday. Carolyn was born March 5, 1938 in Fairfax, SC to William and Bertha DuBose. She enjoyed time with family and friends, fishing, and going shopping. Carolyn was a devoted Christian who was an active member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church for over 20 years. She worked for the North Syracuse School District for many years. Carolyn is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, James Casciere, who passed in 2005; and daughter, Debbie Orr, who passed in 2010.

She is survived by her children, Donald Casciere, Darlene (Chris) Fischer; grandchildren, Michael Casciere, Gary Swidowski, Cody Orr, Amber Orr, Jamie (Tanya) Casciere, Joseph Casciere, and Debra Gerace; many great-grandchildren; sister, Melba Stone, of Georgia; and many, many, many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, 10 AM – 12 PM, at Traub Funeral Home, Bridgeport, with a service to follow. Burial will take place in Onondaga Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Bridgeport Methodist Church.
