William A, (Bill) DeTore of Bridgeport New York, passed away at Crouse-Memorial Hospital Monday October 10, after a brief illness.

Bill was born in Syracuse New York the son of William and Lena DeTore. He was a Self employed contractor.

He was a Member of the South Shore Gun Club and life member of the Bridgeport Rod and Gun Club, where he enjoyed shooting Trap.

He was a member of the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum and 4H volunteer for many years. He was predeceased by his son William (Billy) Jr. and his parents William and Lena DeTore.

Survived by his wife Della, children Christine (Terry) Scott and Dominick (Angela) DeTore, Grandchildren Tamara, Vincent, Devin, Sage and Jace, Sister Karen Mandeville of Fayetteville,.

Bill was a man that never ceased to impress and amaze his children. The morals and lessons he taught, some of which were learned later than sooner, will last a life time.

The Kindness he shared with family and complete strangers will not be forgotten. The challenge of solving problems for people was especially enjoyable to him.

He was a loving, supportive, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. He was a gentle compassionate man who enjoyed people. We are the fortunate ones to have known him.
