Walter F. Teachout, 89, of Mattydale, passed away peacefully on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A life resident of Mattydale and Syracuse, he retired from General Electric after 40 years of dedicated service. Walter was a veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII. 

He is survived by his daughter, Michele Houghtaling; granddaughters, Kori, Tashina, Marshay, and Maizie; and great-grandchildren, Daxn, Oaklyn, and Prin.

Services will be private.
