Shirley A. Currier, 76 of Central Square passed away on Saturday. She was born in Syracuse and grew up in Baldwinsville. Shirley then married and moved to the mid-west, but then returned to New York with her children, where she met Ron Currier, who would become her second husband,the love of her life, with whom she had another child. She worked at Marine Midland Bank's Computer Center in Mattydale for many years until her retirement. Shirley then went on to work for the Oswego County Board of Elections for several years. She was predeceased by her husband, Ron in 2015 and her son,Duane in 1993.

She is survived by her children, Dennis and Douglas Arbuckle, Diane (Tony) Buffa, Shelly (David Sayre) Currier-Burghart; her grandchildren, Angela, Molly, Jamison, Ronald, Brandon, Lauren; several great grandchildren and her father-in-law John Currier.

Calling Hours will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 4 -7 pm at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square with services to follow.
