Martha "Marty" Nelson, 97, of Cicero, passed peacefully on Wednesday, with loving family by her side.

Marty owned and operated Marty's Doll Hospital where she repaired, restored, and dressed dolls.  She and her late husband, Charles, ran a small business called Marty's Miniatures where they crafted doll house miniatures. Marty loved to machine sew, hand sew, crochet, and bake.  In her earlier years, she loved to tap dance and  was sure to teach you her "two-step, tap dance" moves.  Marty was very happy in life.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marty is predeceased by her husband Charles in 1990.  She is survived by her children Martha "Mittsy" (John) Blackham, Charles (Barbara) Nelson, Mary (Alan Wilbert) Nelson, Roberta (Richard) Hoke, and Patricia (Joseph) Ziemba; several siblings; grandchildren Robert, Lisa, James, Stacy Lynn, Jennifer, Stacey Chris, Gerald, Trista, Gregory, Joshua, Shane, Corey, Marissa and Lauren; great grandchildren Jonathan, Jarrod, Taylor, Hannah, Jacob, Emily, Nina, Serena, Dante, Peter, Justus, Vivian, Solomon, Hannah, Isaiah, Jacqueline, Amanda, Monica, Derek, and Harmony.

Calling Hours will be held, Friday, 11 am to 1 pm, at Traub Funeral Home, Inc., 7975 Rt. 31, Bridgeport with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 pm.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Minoa following the service.
