Marcia M. George, 76, of Liverpool, passed away on Wednesday. She was born on January 24, 1941 to Edwin and Leonore Hunold and was one of seven children. She was a graduate of Central Square High School, Class of 1959, and later that year she married the late Edward J. George of Central Square. They started their family and then moved to Long Island where they raised their two children until 1989, when they moved to Boca Raton, FL. When Edward passed away in 1998, Marcia decided to “come home” to New York, where she re-kindled her romance with her High School flame, Don Pendergast, who became her loving companion for 18 years. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and siblings: Dorothy Hunold, who passed before her birth, Charles (Mary) and Kenneth Hunold; and brother-in-law, Frederick Stock. 

She is survived by companion, Don Pendergast; her children, Todd (Joan) George and Kim (David) McCabe; siblings, Leonore Stock, Stanley (Beverly) Hunold, Carol (Richard) Gugliotta, and Lorraine (Paul) Korytkowski; grandchildren, Christopher, Angela, Sarah, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Alivia and Teagan; many nieces and nephews; and all of Don’s children and grandchildren whom she considered her family.  

Calling hours will be held at Traub Funeral Home, Central Square, from 11 AM – 1 PM with a service to follow. Burial will follow at Pine Plains Cemetery in Clay.
