Kurt Hartwich of Bishop’s Commons, Oswego, NY passed away on January 16th at the age of 95.  Originally from Germany, he emigrated to the U.S. with his wife in the early 1950’s and they were proud to become American citizens.  They made their home in Lindenhurst, L.I. where he worked at Russell Plastics and helped coach the H.S. soccer team.  He retired in 1988 and they moved to Pilot Mt., N.C. where they enjoyed many happy years together.

He is pre-deceased by his devoted wife of 63 years, Hiltrud Hartwich ; daughter Heidi Hartwich (Ed Maxon); grandsons, Myles (Kristen) and Kelsey Maxon, great grand-daughter, Caroline Maxon ; nieces Eveline Thewes, Anita Thewes, Elvira Lindsay ; and nephew Axel (Beverly) Thewes.

Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers a donation to Human Concerns, 85 E 4th St., Oswego, NY or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
