Charles "Tuna" Lord, II, 42, died peacefully after a long illness, at his home, surrounded by family and friends in Brewerton.
 

'Tuna was born on February 17, 1975, in Syracuse, NY, and graduated from the New York State School for the Deaf in June 1996.  He enjoyed many things, especially making friends with everyone that he met. His favorite time of year was Halloween and Christmas.  Some of his favorite hobbies include boating, camping, jet skiing, mowing the lawn,snow plows, hats, machinery books, baggies with tabs, driving his golf cart, ranger and bears.  One of his best attributes was his great smile.
 

Tuna is survived by his mother Rita (David) Bergquist; father Charles Lord; sister Janelle (Michael) Perry; grandfather Donald Lord; step brothers Mike Bergquist, Jim Bergquist, and Doug Bergquist; step sister Kim Capria; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
 

Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm, on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main Street, Central Square. Private services for family and close friends will be held on Thursday, 10 am, at West Monroe Methodist Church, with burial to follow, open to everyone, in Hillside Cemetery, Central Square.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or O'Shea Day Program in Rome, NY.
