Betty G. Wood, 87, of Constantia passed away on Thursday following a brief illness.
    Born in Geddes to the late George and Martha Brilbeck, she married Kenneth Walter Wood Sr. on May 29, 1947.  Married for 49 years, they lived in West Monroe where they raised seven children, built houses and worked for most of their lives. She was pre-deceased by her brother George Brilbeck Jr. in 1994, her grandson Aaron Thomas Webb in 1978 and her husband Kenneth Sr., on June 11, 1996.
    Surviving are her four daughters, Martha (Jay) VanTassel, Patricia (Thomas) Webb, Sandra Wood and Bonnie Hass; three sons, Kenneth Wood Jr., Randy F. Wood and Michael G. Wood; her brother Jack (Valasta) Brilbeck; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Services and burial are private.  Burial will be in the West Monroe Cemetery.
